Our law firm started in approximately 1950. It is likely one of the oldest law firms in western North Carolina. The original founding members were Joe and Bob Byrd. Their philosophy carries on today to “fight hard, but fight fair” and to be willing to “fight a band saw for your client.” Larry McMahon, Jr. and Robert K. Denton continue to attempt to fulfill that charge today. As a general rule, our firm does not represent large corporations, but rather represents the interests of the individual citizen. Our attorneys have handled a far ranging variety of cases from wrongful death caused by a car accident to murder cases. We pride ourselves in meeting personally with each of our clients prior to taking their case rather than having office staff sign up every client that walks in the door.
